Standing for the 6th generation, Florence Castarède celebrated with guests several awards on May 17th, the party took place in her showroom located in 140 Boulevard Haussmann 75008 Paris.
Obtaining the quality certification EPV “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) is such an honour, it is a symbol of Excellence à la française and it lasts for 5 years. Armagnac Castarède Company was awarded by the French Ministry of Finance.
Laureate of two other awards for Armagnac XO/Hors d’Age 20 years old :
- Gold medal to the Concours Agricole of Paris (www.concours-agricole.com)
- The world’s best Armagnac award, trophy of the best Armagnac of the world (www.worldarmagnacawards.com)
During the party, Jérôme Vallanet , great expert in Spirit and founder of the company Forma Bar had MC the event and proposed different ways of tasting this multi-awarded Armagnac.
As an aperitif : with an ice cube or with still or sparkling watered down, in order to tickle the taste buds.
Frosted :A huge surprise to discover this Armagnac as a cold drink !
The Whaf : a source of drinkable” clouds”. A tasting of a “cloud of flavours “ drinkable with a straw, a new sensation.
After the didactic part of the art of tasting Armagnac, Jérôme Vallanet concocted us a delicious Spring Cocktails, here the recipe :
- 2cl of pear purée
- 2 cl of vine peached cream
- 8cl of apple juice
- 2 drafts of Rhubarb bitters
- 2 cl of red fruits purée
- Decoration : seasonal fruits.
This different ways of tasting allowed us to enjoy the aromatic richness of Armagnac XO/Hors d’Age matured minimum 20 years in oak wood barrels.
